Refund Policy (updated 5/24/17)

  • The JP Griffon Memorial Fishing Tournament will refund any paid registration fees (less a 6% credit card transaction fee) for any Angler(s) who for whatever reason is/are unable to participate in this year's tournament, provided that the Tournament is notified of the change prior to the end of the Captain's Meeting (held in Port Mansfield) on the Thursday night before the first day of tournament fishing.
  • Anglers that withdraw from the Tournament after Thursday night due to personal or emergency reasons may be entitled to a refund (less a 6% credit card transaction fee), at the discretion of the Director's.
  • Anglers that participate on Day 1 of the Tournament but withdraw from participation on Day 2 shall not be entitled to either a refund or partial refund.
  • Anglers or Teams disqualified for infractions of the General Tournament Rules or Guided Division Supplemental Rules shall not be entitled to a refund.
  • Teams that replace an Angler on their Team (prior to the end of the Thursday Captain's meeting) may choose to apply the registration fee from the Angler who is leaving, to the registration of the replacement Angler provided they notify the tournament by email at registration@thejp.org before the deadline stated above.  If the angler who is leaving prefers a refund, the same policy statement above applies, and the replacement Angler will need to make payment within the registration guidelines.
  • Refunds will be made within three weeks of the end of the Tournament

  • We may use your Personal Information to contact you with email notices of Tournament related events such as registration notices, weather alerts, postponements, schedule changes or other Tournament related business . You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by sending an email to registration@thejp.org.  Please state whether you want to be completely removed from the Tournament mailing list, however you will no longer be included in the invitation list for the Tournament.

  • We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

Security

  • The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.
  • However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

Severe Weather & Boating Safety

In the event of severe thunderstorm warnings or dangerous weather conditions prior to the start of the tournament, the day’s fishing will be delayed or postponed. Tournament directors will fly red flags at the Port Mansfield Pavilion. When the flags are lowered, the tournament will resume. If inclement weather conditions occur during the tournament, it is the entrant’s responsibility to seek safety until safe conditions prevail.
